Here are some oven repairs tips:

A working oven makes cooking, roasting and baking possible. When an oven breaks down, it can be quite the inconvenience. So we have gathered some DIY oven tips to make your life easier. Before trying to fix your oven yourself  make sure that your unit is disconnected. You do not want to get an electric shock. We all know that without heat source your oven will not get the job done. If you’re oven doesn’t turn on when you turn up the dial this is a sign that your pilot is gone. The pilot light is a small flame that burns continuously on some models. It ignites the gas when the oven is turned on, so what you should do is turn off the gas supply and let the fumes disappear before trying to be light the pilot. Then you can turn the gas back on and with a long match. Another important thing you should do is inspect the gasket and the hinges. Electric and gas ovens trap the hot air inside to heat and cook correctly. If you notice that your food is not getting cooked evenly and that your oven does not hold the proper temperature, it’s probably because heat is escaping. The gasket and the door hinges allows the door to close and seal properly. Check that they are in good condition. You might need a to adjust them correctly.
