First, rule out the not actually broken causes

2. The door gasket

A dirty, hardened, cracked, or compression lost gasket lets warm room air leak in continuously, and the fridge cannot keep up. Do the paper test: close the door on a sheet of paper, and if it slides out with no resistance, that section is not sealing. Clean a dirty gasket with a damp cloth; replace a damaged one. 3. The evaporator fan

4. The defrost system

Look for ice building behind the rear interior panel. This typically corresponds to a defrost fault, on units with diagnostic codes the EC07 type defrost code, and generally needs a technician to sort the defrost heater, thermostat, or control.

5. The fridge side compressor or a sealed system leak

Because of dual refrigeration, a failure isolated to the fridge’s own compressor produces exactly this symptom, warm fridge, cold freezer. So can a microscopic refrigerant leak in the fridge circuit, which starves that side of cooling capacity. Sealed system work, recovering refrigerant, finding and welding a leak, replacing a compressor, requires EPA certification and specialized tools, so it is strictly a job for a certified technician. On units with diagnostics, a compressor overrun code, the EC40 type, flags this: the compressor runs continuously but cannot pull the compartment down.
