Oven not heating at all
Electric: bake element or control board relay. Gas: the igniter, 90% of the time, you'll hear clicking or see the glow but get no flame. Both are van stock parts for the common brands.
Oven not reaching temperature / baking unevenly
A drifting temperature sensor or a weak igniter that lights late. We verify with an independent thermometer, show you the real numbers, and fix what's actually wrong, not just swap parts.
Gas burner won't light
Spark igniter, spark module or a corroded burner head (very common near the coast). We repair the appliance's internal components only, your gas supply line stays untouched, as it should.
Self clean locked the door / oven died after self clean
The classic. Self clean cycles cook thermal fuses and door locks. Skip the panic, it's usually a fuse and a latch, one visit.
Broken door hinge or glass
Hinges, springs, gaskets and inner door glass are all replaceable, much cheaper than living with an oven that leaks heat into your kitchen all summer.

Is it safe to use an oven that won't reach temperature?
It won't hurt you, but it's burning money and ruining dinners, and a failing igniter can start leaving unburned gas smells. Common causes (bake element, igniter, temperature sensor) are all one visit fixes.
Do you work on gas ranges?
Yes, we repair everything inside the appliance: igniters, burner valves' electrical components, spark modules, safety valves. We do not modify or repair the home's gas supply line; that's licensed gas fitter territory, and we'll tell you if your problem lives on that side.
Do you repair Wolf, Thermador and Viking ranges?
Yes. Premium ranges are common in Newton, Weston, Brookline and Back Bay, and parts availability is actually excellent for them. Expect a flat quote, premium brand doesn't automatically mean premium repair price.
My electric cooktop burner stopped working, repairable?
Usually yes: radiant elements, burner switches and terminal blocks are standard repairs. On glass top units we can also replace cracked glass on most models, ask when you call.
